The Best Pizza Places in Winter Haven, Florida.
And this isn’t just a list I’ve put together based on my own preferences…
This list was built from HUNDREDS of votes from locals just like you.
Let’s go 
Special Author’s Note:
I’m from Long Island, New York — so I have a very specific taste for pizza. That said, I’m not snotty about it HAVING to be New York style (though I am very outspoken about how bad the bagels are here in Florida). I share my own thoughts on this list, and personal preferences, way down below 
First Place: Bistro Pizza
The Best Pizza In Winter Haven, Florida
Bistro Pizza — 326 W Central Ave, Winter Haven, FL 33880</center>
Bistro Pizza came in at the number one spot, located right in Downtown Winter Haven.

- “10-10 recommend Bistro Pizza”
Tons of votes came in raving about their pizza, even when stacked up against spots across Greater Winter Haven (including Auburndale, Lake Alfred, Dundee, Lake Hamilton, Cypress Gardens and more).
With one voter stating: “All high quality fresh ingredients. The cheese makes the pizza and they use the best cheese.”
Second Place: Pizza Connection
The Second Best Pizza In Winter Haven, Florida (Kind of...)
Pizza Connection — 220 E Lake Ave, Auburndale, FL 33823
Coming in at second on the list is actually just on the outskirts of Winter Haven and technically located in Auburndale: Pizza Connection.
- “Pizza Connection no discussion!!”
- “Hands down, the best.”
- “It’s 100% Pizza Connection.”
Pizza Connection JUST missed the top spot, which means if we explicitly told voters they could include Auburndale, it would have likely taken the win.
I live walking distance from Pizza Connection and can vouch for the die-hard fan base.
When it re-opened in mid-November 2025 following a fire earlier that year, you could barely walk down the same block because the sidewalk was so packed with a line wrapped all the way down to the library.
One voter helps your choice a bit, stating: “If you like thin crust, you will love Pizza Connection in Auburndale.”
Third Place: Upper Crust Pizza
The Third Best Pizza In Winter Haven, Florida (Technically Top 2!)
Upper Crust Pizza — 362 3rd St NW, Winter Haven, FL 33881
Voted as the third best pizza place in Greater Winter Haven (second best in Winter Haven) is Upper Crust Pizza!
Upper Crust Pizza has only been around since July of 2024, so already winning over enough Winter Haven residents to come in the top three slots is a big accomplishment.

Where Pizza Connection comes in on top among thin crust pizza, Upper Crust comes in with more of a New York style and has amazing specialty slices if you like being able to switch it up.
And don’t be afraid to grab something other than pizza when you try it out: “Upper Crust Pizza is amazing. And their Stromboli is even better!”
Honorable Mention: J Burns Pizza
The Best Pizza In Winter Haven, Florida (Technically Top 3!)
J Burns Pizza — 5535 Cypress Gardens Blvd Suite 160, Winter Haven, FL 33884
Coming in as an honorable mention (which I feel NEEDS to be mentioned being that it’s technically Top 3 in Winter Haven being that Pizza Connection is in Auburndale) is J Burns Pizza!
Which is kind of perfect considering this is another thin crust style pizza joint, giving us 2 thin crust and 2 New York style.

And one vote mentions “J Burns if you want tavern pizza.” with another saying “you could drink a cold beer next-door and eat your pizza.”, presumably referring to Paddy Wagons Irish Pub.

My personal opinion (that no one asked for

- Upper Crust Pizza
- Pizza Connection
- Saving This Spot
The third spot is currently reserved until I complete the entire list of 10! I’ve made it through about 7 of them, plus a couple others that aren’t even on the list — but I can’t have my definitive top 3 until I’m done.
